Construction college students at our workshop
Today our workshop was filled not with the sound of machinery but with questions, as we welcomed future restorers and construction site managers from Riga Building College :).
It was a genuine pleasure to meet such energetic, curious and motivated students, whose enthusiasm filled the whole workshop and reminded us once again how important it is to share our knowledge and experience with the next generation of professionals in the trade.
Our heartfelt thanks to Agrita Lūse and the “Mācies būvniecību” (Learn Construction) programme for the opportunity to host the students at our workshop and give them a small glimpse behind the scenes of our daily work.
During the visit we introduced the students to the variety of stone materials and showed how they can be used in both interior and exterior projects. They could follow the whole process, from cutting and shaping the stone slabs through to the finished product, and see with their own eyes how much precision, creativity and careful attention to every detail matter in our work.
Meetings like these are especially valuable to us: they let us not only share experience but also inspire the next generation to get to know the construction and stone-working trade more closely.
